DALLAS FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY

There’s no better place for your Dallas family photography session to take place than outdoors at one of my two preferred locations in North Dallas or Highland Park. This helps me maintain consistency with your portraits so you can have a cohesive display of portraits over the years.

As a former elementary teacher and momma to little ones, I know that allowing your children the opportunity to run, laugh, twirl, race, jump, and be thrown up into the air are key to capturing their personalities and genuine smiles. My goal at each session is to leave you with a beautiful gallery filled with both posed as well as candid images.

What an honor it is to document your family and children..

“You are as much serving God in looking after your own children, and training them up in God's fear, and minding the house, and making your household a church for God, as you would be if you had been called to lead an army to battle for the Lord of hosts.” Charles Spurgeon

WHAT TO EXPECT

In the weeks leading up to our time together, you’ll be provided with a style guide containing direct links as well as other helpful tips so that you look and feel your best. In order for everyone to feel relaxed at your Dallas family photography session, I welcome and guide you and your children to intentionally interact with one another through various games and prompts.

While your session prep guide will provide you with helpful tips and tricks to ensure our time together goes smoothly, there’s also time to allow for kids to be kids. By welcoming play at sessions, it helps everyone to relax and allows me the opportunity to capture the moments and details that you miss yourself…the kisses, the twirls, picking flowers, the surprise tickle fight, playing airplane on daddy’s shoulders.

Molly Coulter is a phenomenal photographer, and we have trusted ALL of our family’s pictures to her since 2016 when our oldest child was born. Molly has captured our family at least once a year since then, and her gorgeous photographs are some of my greatest treasures! Molly is kind, professional, attentive to detail, and such a pleasure to be around. We did a first year package with both of our children and will always cherish the photos Molly captured of them as newborns, at six months, and around their first birthday. Before our most recent family session in 2020, Molly even helped me coordinate our outfits over email. Molly has captured beautiful photos of our children at every single session we’ve had with her, and we have loved using her images throughout our home, as gifts for family, and for our annual Christmas cards. In short, I cannot say enough positive things about Molly Coulter Photography! I have recommended Molly to many friends over the years (and will continue to do so) as I truly believe she is unmatched as a family photographer in Dallas-Fort Worth.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where will our Dallas family photography session take place?

The majority of my clients select a classic and manicured setting to fit a traditional style of portraiture. I primarily shoot at two locations: one in North Dallas and one in Highland Park. If you prefer a different setting, you may note that on the questionnaire you receive after settling your contract and retainer.  Also, you may reserve an indoor studio in North Dallas for an added rental fee of $85/hour.

When do your sessions take place?

Sessions are scheduled during the weekday in the early morning or late afternoon/early evening depending on the time of year.

Do you offer mini sessions?

Yes, mini sessions are offered in the spring and the fall. To receive details and booking links, you can click here. Mini’s typically sell out in under 10 minutes after being released, so it’s important to be on my email list.

What should we wear?

To better serve you, I’ll send you a personalized curated styling board with direct links. On top of that, I’ll also send a styling guide and other recommended stores for you to browse from for each family member. If you would like further assistance, I am happy to help you. I will also provide you with more specific details about what to wear and what to avoid when making your selections.

How long will it take for me to receive my images?

Your images are culled and soft proofed by me prior to making your final selections. Your gallery will be ready to make your selections within three weeks of your session date. From there, you will have two weeks to select and finalize your images. If you need your images sooner, a rush fee of $150 can be added to receive them in one week.

Are albums as well as fine art products & prints available for purchase after my session?

After your session you will have the ability to conveniently print your images directly from your gallery through my professional lab so that you do not compromise the quality of your images. I also offer complimentary & custom mock ups for your home. I carry a line of frames I’ve hand selected to help you with custom pieces.

Am I able to print the images myself?

Yes. You have the ability to do so using my print release; however, I cannot guarantee the quality of your images. Most clients print their images through me to ensure the best. The majority of my clients print professionally through me to ensure the highest quality of prints.

What do I need to do to book?

A signed contract and $300 non-refundable retainer (which is applied to your total session cost) are required to book your session date.
